STAYTON The Stayton Eagles swept a nonleague softball doubleheader with Seaside Friday, 13-0 and 12-1, as Staytons Cassie Cruz threw a no-hitter and struck out 10 in Game 1, and teammate Lindsay Hill allowed one run on two hits in the Game 2.

Seasides Ashlynn Yokoyama made some key plays at shortstop for the Gulls, while Stephanie Osterlund pitched both games for Seaside, which hosts La Salle today.
