CASTLE ROCK, Wash. – Ilwaco’s Josh Berteaux had a big night offensively, but the Fishermen couldn’t track down Castle Rock Friday in a Southwest 1A Trico Division game in Castle Rock.

The Rockets held a slim 13-6 lead in the third quarter, when Castle Rock’s Austin Moore returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown to help the home team pull away for a 34-18 win.

Ilwaco trailed 13-0 at halftime, but picked up a third-quarter score by Berteaux on an 11-yard run before Moore returned the ensuing kickoff to make it 20-6.

The Rockets added two more scores for a 34-6 lead. Ilwaco had fourth-quarter touchdowns by Berteaux (27-yard run) and Justice Schenk (33-yard run). Berteaux finished with 153 yards rushing on 27 carries.
