Colley to head Realtors

The Clatsop County Association of Realtors saw the changing of the guard Tuesday night.

Cindy Colley, of Larcin Realty Group of Seaside, was installed as president by John Wallace, chief executive officer of the Oregon Association of Realtors. She took over the gavel from Robin Risley, of Coldwell Bankers in Seaside.

The annual membership dinner at the Astoria Golf & Country Cub featured an opportunity to highlight members and officers who worked for the association in the past year.

Leaders also presented a check for $2,000 to George Sabol, executive director of Clatsop Community Action, which oversees the management of the Food Bank Warehouse. The money was raised at the associations annual golf tournament.

Doug Bell chaired the golf committee.

Nominating, Doris Strumme; Public Relations Marianne Pittard; Education, Cindy Colley; Realtor of the Year, Pam Ackley; Equal Opportunity Fair Housing, Kay Covert; Professional Standards, Tommy Huntington; Scholarship, Nancy Newhall; Legislative, Tommy Huntington; Membership, Sue Pickell; Grievance, George Stacy; Realtor Risk Reduction, Rosalie McCleary; Orientation, Victor Kee; ORPAC, Cindy Colley; and Website, Pam Ackley and Jeremy Linder.

Curt Sagner, Clatsop Multiple Listing Service president and Lynn Brigham, the CMLS past president, were thanked for their work.

Members Pat Ordway and Dann Pickell earned lifetime achiever recognition.

Mike Tharp, District 1 representative on the Oregon Association of Realtors, was also recognized.

Kristina Armetta, a mezzo-contralto with a background in opera singing, music teaching and conducting, provided the entertainment.
