Because of changes in the weather and job site conditions, the contractor for the city of Astoria 2011 Paving Project has revised the scheduled paving work for this week.

Today, there will be paving on Lexington Avenue from Third to Sixth streets, and on Third from Niagara to Kensington avenues.

There will be cold plane pavement removal and paving on Alameda Avenue Wednesday, and skim patching on Niagara and Klaskanine avenues, as well as asphalt berm installation.

Cleanup will take place Thursday.

All schedules are subject to change in the event of unfavorable weather conditions. No parking at these locations will be allowed. Citizens should be prepared for short traffic delays and use alternate routes where possible.
