Kristen Earline Merrill, daughter of Kenneth and Alice Merrill of Astoria, exchanged wedding vows with Mark Alexander Nemecek of Beaverton on Saturday, June 25, 2011. He is the son of Annette Nemecek of Salem and the late Gene Nemecek.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. A friend, Daryl Curtis, performed the ceremony in the couples backyard in Beaverton.

Maid of honor was Lisa Myers. Bridesmaid was Julie Swenson Dahnke. Flower girl was Alex Nemecek.

Best man was Jeff Nemecek. Ring bearer was Mason Nemecek.

Both the bride and the groom are 1989 graduates of Astoria High School.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii.
