Donated items are needed for live and silent auctions during the Benefit Spaghetti Feed and Auction for Michele Tila, which will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Seaside American Legion, 1315 Broadway in Seaside.
Tila, who works at The Daily Astorian, received a serious brain injury in a motorcycle crash in June. Her husband, Markku, was also injured, but not as badly. The proceeds will be used to help offset her medical expenses.
The North Coast ABATE group will offer all-you-can-eat spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and dessert. A no-host bar, free coffee and ice water will be available. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and The Theory of Relativity classic rock band will start playing at 8 p.m.
Tickets for the fundraiser cost $10 for adults, or $3 for youth age 12 and younger, and can be bought in Astoria at Franks Barber Shop, 374 10th St., Napa Auto Parts, 2275 Commercial St., and The Daily Astorian, 949 Exchange St. Tickets can also be purchased at The Daily Astorian office in Seaside, 140 N. Roosevelt Drive.
