ASTORIA – Coinciding with Astoria’s Regatta weekend, the Astoria Downtown Historic District Association will partner with Fort George Brewery to offer the Second Annual Art and Beer Walk on Aug. 13.

From 5 to 9 p.m., participants are invited to meander the streets of Astoria and take in art while sampling 10 different Fort George beers.

That night, Fort George will debut “the Beer Show” an exhibit of art inspired by, depicting or made with beer.

Maps will be available at participating downtown venues the week prior to the event. The maps will indicate all locations that will be presenting art, merchants that will be open for the evening and locations that will be serving Fort George beer. The samples are free; Fort George Vortex tasting glasses will be available for $5 each at all locations serving beer, with proceeds to benefit ADHDA.

In addition to the Art and Beer Walk, the second weekend of August is the Astoria Regatta.

This event has been an annual occasion since 1894, and this year will be dedicated to Astoria’s 200th Birthday.

Art and Beer Walk patrons sporting a Regatta pin will receive $1 off a tasting glass.
