SEASIDE The Seaside Police Department welcomes Seaside residents to join them for the 28th annual National Night Out, a crime/drug prevention event from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Thanks to Seaside Rotary, Seaside Kiwanis and the Seaside Chamber community members can enjoy a free meal at Broadway Park or Cartwright Park. There will also be prizes, a chance to talk with a police officer and games for the children.
The Chamber is seeking items to give as prizes during this event. To donate, call (503) 738-6391.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
