Sirens: DUI, Assault, Stolen Tools, Drug Possession

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

DUI

Bernadette M. Webber, 63, of Centralia, was cited and released for driving under the influence of alcohol at 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the intersection of South Gold Street and East Plum Street.

Assault

Sarah R. Chaney, 20, of Centralia, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road for allegedly assaulting a female; Pedro Romero Rivera was arrested for second-degree assault during the same incident for allegedly choking a woman.

Burglar on the Loose

A man in his early 40s with a beard wearing a blue hat, blue plaid shirt, black jeans and white tennis shoes reportedly kicked in a door to a house he later fled the scene at 8:16 a.m. Monday in the 700 block of Euclid Way.

Stolen Tools

Power tools were reported stolen at 9:41 a.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Alder Street.

Drug Possession

Jacob R. Woods, 36, of Centralia, was booked at 1 p.m. Sunday for alleged possession of heroin in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue after he was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

David L. Davenport, 21, of Centralia, was booked for alleged possession of methamphetamine and marijuana at 11 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of West Cherry Street.

Stolen Jacket

A jacket was reported stolen 3:27 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of East Summa Street.

Vehicle Prowl

Speakers were reported stolen from a car at 4:30 a.m. today in the 1100 block of E Street.

A stereo was reported stolen from a car at 7 a.m. today in the 900 block of North Washington Street.

Harassment-Order Violation

John C. Baker, 68, of Centralia, was booked at 2 p.m. Friday for allegedly violating an anti-harassment order in the 1800 block of Van Wormer Street.

LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE

Knife Incident

Travis P. Shive, 24, of Onalaska, is a suspect for allegedly cutting a 42-year-old man above his left eye at 11:41 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of Burchett Road in Onalaska. Shive allegedly crashed his vehicle, was chided by the victim for driving too fast, asked the victim for a tool to fix a tire, was denied, then brandished a small pocketknife and cut the man and kicked him in the stomach. Shive reportedly ran into the woods and has not been contacted.

Motorcycle vs. Gate

A 20-year-old Olympia man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after crashing his motorcycle into a gate at 2:51 p.m. Monday on a forest road off Bowman Road near Chehalis; he reportedly broke both legs, among other injuries.

Lewis County Jail

Inmate population in the main facility as of early this morning: 184 inmates; 150 are men and 34 are women. Of the total facility, none are work-release inmates. Sixty-five are contract bed inmates from outside agencies. None are on electronic home monitoring and none are day reporting. In the past 24 hours, as of early this morning, seven people were booked into the jail and five were released.
