The city of Chehalis announced Thursday the installation of new audio/video recording system capable of providing live streaming video of Chehalis City Council meetings.

Council meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month. Executive sessions, where councilors discuss sensitive issues such as union contract negotiations or real estate issues, normally occur before and sometimes after regular meetings, and will not be broadcast, City Clerk Judy Schave said. Archived streaming video will also be available for viewing after meetings. Viewing council meetings from home requires a high-speed internet connection.
