Aufdermauer, a lifelong Tillamook resident, replaces Andy Neal, who has been named manager of the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.
“Andy Neal did a great job at the Chamber,” Aufdermauer said. “I plan to pick up where he left off, and I believe my enthusiasm and energy will be beneficial for our community.”
Aufdermauer, 25, is a graduate of Tillamook High School.

He had been employed as a salesman at Tillamook Motor Co.
Chamber board members said what made him a strong candidate for the director’s position was his community involvement – Aufdermauer is vice president of the Tillamook Kiwanis Club, vice president of the Tillamook Revitalization Association, and a member of the 2nd Street Public Market board of directors.
“I think Justin is going to be great in this type of position because of his energy, his influence that he already has in the community and his willingness to learn,” said Chamber board president Dave Lindstrom.
Lindstrom said the Chamber board chose Aufdermauer from a “highly skilled pool of applicants.”
“Through everything he said, all the questions he answered, he was really convincing that he really wants the best for Tillamook. He wants to be good for businesses and for residents, and he wants to be in a position to be able to influence that,” Lindstrom said. “And I believe he wants to be in a position to influence that for a long time to come.”
He began his new job April 18.
