Jeffrey and Collette Maltman of Seaside announce the engagement of Lacey Lynn Maltman of Saint Helens to Ryan Andrew Ridinger, also of Saint Helens. He is the son of Patricia Ridinger of Brownsville and Tony Ridinger of Salem.

The bride-to-be graduated from Seaside High School in 2001 and Eastern Oregon University in 2005. She is employed by State Farm Insurance.

The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Central Linn High School and a 2004 graduate of Umpqua Community College. He works for Columbia River Fire and Rescue.

An Oct. 1 wedding is planned in Astoria.
