Im working on behalf of the OREGON FILM MUSEUM in Astoria, BECCA WEISS wrote to the Ear. We are looking for INFORMATION ABOUT MOVIES FILMED IN OREGON. Just a few of them are The Goonies (1985), Short Circuit (1986), Come See the Paradise (1990), Kindergarten Cop (1990), Free Willy (1993), The Ring (2002) and Into the Wild (2007).
The museum is interested in photos, artifacts, memorabilia and stories from people who were in, or worked on, films shot in Oregon. Were you an extra in the shooting of Kindergarten Cop, or maybe you have Jack Nicholsons beanie from One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest? Becca asked. Maybe you know the man whose truck was filmed as part of chase scene, or a group of kids who were extras at the swimming pool. Any little thing could be of great importance to us.
To submit stories, email Makaela Pollock at makaela@interplayinc.com. For those who dont have email, stories and photos, etc., can be dropped off with a staff member at the main desk of the Clatsop County Heritage Museum, located at the corner of 16th and Exchange streets.
We want as much local input as possible, Becca added.
