Mark and Shelly Slovak of Seaside announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie N. Slovak of Tillamook, to Ted T. Teufel of Tillamook. He is the son of Ilona and Tom Teufel of Portland.

The bride-to-be, who is the granddaughter of Larry and Lana Lannigan of Seaside, graduated from Seaside High School in 2004. She is employed by the Cloverdale Veterinary Clinic.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Sunset High School in Portland. He is a fishing guide on the Oregon Coast.

A Sept. 8, 2012, wedding is planned in Cannon Beach.
