Dr. Jessop McDonnell and Maureen McDonnell of Long Beach, Wash., announce the engagement of their daughter, Meghan Bridget McDonnell of Steubenville, Ohio, to Nicholas Joseph Lyster of Long Beach. He is the son of Joseph and Trudy Lyster of Long Beach.

The bride-to-be is pursuing a bachelors degree in psychology

at Franciscan University of Steubenville. She will graduate in May.

The prospective groom is pursuing degree in counseling psychology. He works at the Ocean Park (Wash.) Elementary School.

A July wedding is planned.
