Weddings: Giusti – Olson

Kimberly Kay Giusti, daughter of Joel and Vicki Giusti of Salem, exchanged wedding vows with Scott Alfred Olson at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at Willamette Valley Vineyards in Turner. The groom is the son of Alfred and Carol Olson of Astoria.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The ceremony was performed by Joanna Respini.

The bride wore a strapless full-length gown with a chapel-length train. The couple met six years ago to the date of their wedding ceremony.

Maid of honor was Aleksandra Korobov of Washington, D.C. Bridesmaids were Mariah Jones of Beaverton, Marianne White of Bozeman, Mont., and Andrea Lesh of Orange County, Calif. Flower girl was the brides cousin, Mia McCormick.

Best man was Aaron Lunday of Bremerton, Wash. Groomsmen were Benjamin White of Bozeman, Daisuke Yamauchi of Osaka, Japan, Francis Fabela of Naselle, Wash., Gary Whiteman of Beaverton and Michael Callahan of Seattle. Ushers were the brides brothers, Chad and Nick Giusti.  

The bride graduated from South Salem High School in 2000. She earned a bachelors degree from the University of Oregon in 2004, and a masters degree from Georgetown University in 2008. 

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Astoria High School. He earned a bachelors degree from Pacific Lutheran University in 2003, and a masters degree in public policy from George Washington University in 2007.

A reception was held at Willamette Valley Vineyards.

The honeymoon destination will be Australia in the summer.

The couple resides in Bern, Switzerland, and both work at the U.S. Embassy in Bern.
