He might have been the smallest person on set, but 10-year-old Preston Bailey made a big impression on Hugh Laurie when he starred opposite the award-winning actor in a commercial for the TV show House.

The commercial was shot for the purpose of owning one of the most coveted spots on TV. Considering the spot will have an estimated audience of 100 million people, commercial wise, this is the big time.

When asked what it was like to work with Hugh Laurie, Preston said, Hes a really nice guy. A kid person. So it was really fun to work with him.

He also thought it was interesting that so many people on set asked the same thing, Do you know how many people are going to watch this?

No pressure or anything.

Most children would probably find it daunting to star in a commercial opposite a big star. But this 4-foot-9 Preston has some experience to back him.

When Preston was attending preschool in Seaside, he caught the acting bug from his older brother Brennan. The family trekked over the mountains and into Portland for theater and acting classes.

After booking commercial and feature films in Portland, the family was drawn to the sunshine of Southern

California. The young actor has been a proud member of The Screen Actors Guild since he was five. His impressive resume includes a regular gig on Showtimes Dexter on which he plays Dexters son Cody. To date hes been in 34 episodes of the award winning series.

Cold Case, Numbers, and How I Met Your Mother, are just a few of the many TV credits Preston has. Preston also has some big screen experience. He can be seen in The Crazies, and opposite Kate Beckinsale, David Schwimmer and Matt Dillon in the political drama, Nothing But The Truth.

Prestons next gig, the feature-film The Apologist, starts filming this spring in Canada. He will star opposite Avatars Giovanni Ribisi and another Oregon native, Sam Elliott.

Beside acting, Preston sees himself as a regular kid who loves to hang out with his friends, play video games, read lots of books, play with his animals and swim.

But on Feb. 6, hell be glued to the TV along with family and friends. Not just because hes in one of the commercials, but because hes a huge football fan.

Hes not telling which team hes rooting for.
