Obituaries: Teri Lynn Allen

Teri Allen passed away peacefully at the age of 58 in her home on December 18, 2010. She courageously fought cancer for 3 months, never losing her spirit. She was born in Pleasanton California on May 9, 1952 to Marjorie and Tony Cavestri. Teri grew up in Pleasanton and moved to Seaside, Oregon shortly after she married her husband Vaughn on June 12, 1976.
Teri is survived by her loving husband, Vaughn Allen of Seaside; son and daughter, Brian and Beth Allen, born and raised in Seaside currently residing in Portland; father Tony Cavestri of CA; and brother Bruce Cavestri of CA. As well as other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Marjorie Cavestri of CA.
Teri worked for the Clatsop County Planning department for 33 years before retiring in 2008. Teri was well known for her hard work and devotion to the planning department as well as her husband’s plumbing business. Teri was very proud of her family, including her father Tony, a decorated WWII veteran. She loved to spend time with her family, and supporting her kids in athletics; never missing a game. Teri was also appreciated for her many years of involvement with the SHS booster club. She also enjoyed gardening, camping, sewing and cooking. She will always be remembered for her positive attitude, smile, and her loving, caring personality. Teri had a big heart and loved to help people, she lived her life to the fullest and will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Teri’s life on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 1-3pm, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1403 S. Wahanna Drive in Seaside.
