The Clatsop County Historical Society will hold its annual Holiday Dinner and Silent Auction fundraiser Dec. 4, at the Red Building, 20 Basin St. in Astoria. The cocktail/social hour is at 6 p.m.; dinner starts at 7 p.m. A five-course dinner will be prepared by Chris Holen of the Baked Alaska Restaurant. Tickets cost $75 apiece. Tables of eight cost $500.

Proceeds this year will support the Phase II development of the Oregon Film Museum. Phase I was to get the Film Museum open in time for the Goonies 25th Anniversary. Phase II will make the museum more interactive and broaden the scope beyond The Goonies to incorporate the 300-plus movies that have been filmed in Oregon.
