The Seaside volleyball team will wrap up the regular season with “Dig Pink” night, Tuesday at home vs. Scappoose.
In addition to being Senior Night, the Gulls will be paying tribute to October’s breast cancer awareness month. Seaside players will be warming up “wearing more pink than normal,” said coach Brenna Archibald. Fans and families are also encouraged to wear pink and bring donations.
“The main purpose of the night is to recognize and raise awareness of how many people are influenced by this cancer in some way,” Archibald said. “There will be opportunities for donations and a poster for fans to (if they donate) put a loved one’s name on the poster who is fighting, living with, or even has passed away due to this disease.”
Individuals in the crowd who are wearing a lot of pink – including head bands, T-shirts, socks, face paint, etc., will be given a T-shirt from the volleyball program.
