Nancy E. Loftin, 80, died Sept. 2, in Warrenton.

Born April 4, 1930, she was the daughter of George L. Stimson and Zella I. (Coad) Stimson. Nancy was raised in Yakima, Wash., and graduated from high school there.
She married Kenneth W. Loftin, Aug. 16, 1968, in Warrenton and he survives.
Nancy started working for Pacific Northwest Bell in Astoria in 1961. When the office closed, she was transferred to Salem and worked there until her retirement in 1990.

Her hobbies included reading, sewing, and traveling with the “Good Sam” RV Club with her husband.
Her family remembers how special Christmas was to her, and she enjoyed being with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Tim Dowell of Warrenton; daughter and son-in-law, Cari and Jerry Dudash of Aumsville; stepdaughter and husband, Paula and Dave Loftin of Eugene; stepson and wife, Ken and Mary Loftin; stepson and wife, Charles and Piki Loftin of Eugene; stepson Richard Loftin of Yahats; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Alice Stimson of Auburn, Wash.; granddaughter and husband, Katrina and Michael Smith of Astoria; grandson and wife, Timothy and Sherry Dowell of Warrenton; grandson, Jason Dudash, Aumsville; stepgranddaughter, Lily Loftin of Eugene; stepgrandson, Wayne Loftin of Eugene; stepgranddaughter, Maria Loftin, of Eugene; great-granddaughter, Natasha Dowell of Warrenton; great-granddaughter, Angeline Dowell of Warrenton and great-granddaughter, Taylor Smith.
Memorial services have been held. Contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Association, 1650 NW Naito Parkway, Suite 190, Portland OR 97209. Arrangements are by Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary in Astoria.
