WARRENTON – Neal Cummings, owner of Astoria’s Video Horizons, is almost ready to open a second location – this time in Warrenton.

Despite the surge in popularity from online and kiosk video rentals, Cummings has found local movie fans still enjoy doing business face-to-face.

“People still like the hands-on movie renting experience. They try it and they end up coming back,”?Cummings said.

The new location will be in the Youngs Bay Plaza, at 131 U.S. Highway 101 S., the former Curves spot, and will be 2,700 square feet. Cummings said he’ll focus on having more new releases available – especially the ones that the national competitors can’t get as soon as he can.

“Netflix doesn’t get new releases from two of the studios for 28 days,” he said.

Cummings hopes to open the new store by Sept. 10.
