Gerald Walker

Gerald Walker was born Feb. 7, 1944 to missionaries Orland and Nola Archer Walker in Vancouver, Wash.

He grew up in Eugene and attended South Eugene High. In 1961, Gerald married Susan Philpin and had a son, Darryl, in July 1962.

Gerald worked for Lockheed Corporation while attending college and graduated law school from the University of Santa Clara, Calif., in 1968. In 1969, upon passing his bar exam, he partnered to work for Kane, Canelo and Walker, Attorneys at Law in Merced, Calif.

As a trial lawyer, his specialties were personal injury and wrongful death. He later went on to enjoy a successful career in corporate law and became the general council for Tescon America in 1986. He enjoyed challenges and did volunteer work for people he felt were being taken advantage of.

After retiring in 1992 and remarrying to Kathy White of Arizona, he assisted his parents in spreading the word of God and traveled around the world. He enjoyed collecting art, traveling, hiking, watching sports and rooting for the underdog.

Preceded in death by his parents and only brother, Ron of Kohala, Hawaii. Gerald is survived by two sisters, Patricia Klonoski of Tucson, Ariz.; and Betty Allison of Vida, Ore.; and their families and one son, Darryl Walker of Cannon Beach. Donations may be made to Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue in care of Hughes Ransom Cremation and Morturaries.
