Clatsop CASA receives Ford Family Foundation grant

The Clatsop Court Appointed Special Advocate Program has been awarded a $20,000 Strategic Plan Implementation grant by the Ford Family Foundation, which also awarded a capacity building grant to Clatsop CASA in 2008.

This additional funding will be used to continue the work begun with the capacity building grant in the areas of improved program stability and sustainability and to provide a bridge for the transition from a primarily grant-funded fiscal policy to more stable, community-based fundraising.

The Clatsop CASA Program, which advocates for abused and neglected children in the juvenile dependency court and child welfare systems, is currently recruiting volunteers for training in late July.
