Manzanita Group Sets Pace – The Manzanita Pace Setters is a walk/jog/run club that meets at 7:30 a.m. Saturdays rain, wind or shine in the parking lot behind Spa Manzanita, located at 144 Laneda Ave. To participate, bring one can of food for the North County Food Bank. The self-paced, approximately one-hour course starts and ends at the parking lot, with a new route each week. All active club members will receive 10 percent off massages at the spa. French Conversation Group Convenes – A French conversation group will meet from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the North County Recreational District, 36155 Ninth St. in Nehalem. This is a conversation group, not a French class. French will be spoken exclusively the entire two hours. Model Railroad Club Meets – The Columbia Northwestern Model Railroading Club meets at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hammond to exchange stories and ideas and to enjoy running trains on an HO scale layout. For information, call Don Carter at (503) 325-0757.

Square Dancers Dance – The Hayshaker Square Dance Club meets Saturday for an evening of dancing at the Pacific Grange, 90475 U.S. Highway 101, just north of the Cullaby Lake turnoff. Tre-rounds begin at 7:30 p.m.; square dancing is from 8 to 10 p.m. For information, call (503) 861-2726.

NAMI Meets – The National Alliance on Mental Illness meets from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Providence Seaside Hospital Education Center, 725 S. Wahanna Road, Seaside. This support group welcomes anyone who has a friend or loved one who suffers from a serious brain (mental) illness (depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder). Senior Meals Set – The Warrenton Senior Lunch Program provides a chance to meet new friends and get reacquainted with old friends. Lunch is served at noon Mondays and Thursdays at the Warrenton Community Center, located at 170 S.W. Third St. The cost is $4. Alzheimer’s Support Group Meets – The Astoria Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group, sponsored by Clatsop Care Health District and the Alzheimer’s Association Oregon Chapter, will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Monday at Clatsop Care Center, 646 16th St. The group also supports caregivers of individuals with other memory-related diseases.
