An Astoria 5K Family Fun Run/Walk is the Astoria Parks and Recreation Department’s new Father’s Day weekend tradition. It will take place on Saturday. The route is a 3.15 mile out and back along the Columbia River that starts and finishes east of the Columbia River Maritime Museum on the Astoria Riverwalk. Runners will take off at 9 a.m.; walkers/strollers at 9:15 a.m.

The Riverwalk will be closed to the public from the east end of the Maritime Museum to the far east end of the event to ensure the safety of event participants.

There is no cost for participants age 13 and younger. Registration forms are available at the Aquatic Center, located at 1997 Marine Drive in Astoria.
