I want to extend 1,044 thank yous to 1,044 voters who elected me to the Clatsop County Board of Commissioners.

Team Birkby, as they were called these past months, rocks. No better collection of campaign volunteers could have been found. Team Birkby worked hard, donating priceless and indispensable time; friends, neighbors, family and strangers- turned-colleagues came together to support me as a candidate. I am privileged to have the backing of each of these individuals.

The tasks of campaign manager, researchers, photographer, writers, editors, delivery and data entry people, web and graphic designers, party planners and “go-fers” were all accomplished with what I know to be the greatest effort. I look forward to the expanded knowledge and county governance experience once the commissioners-elect are sworn into service for Clatsop County, and to the opportunity to work with Dirk Rhone, Scott Lee, Patricia Roberts and Peter Huhtala on the board.

I will work to the best of my ability; talk with as many residents of the county as possible to hear your concerns and discuss the issues to confirm my gratitude for the endorsement received from District 5 voters.
