Oregon Beach Rides to run horseback concession at Nehalem Bay State Park

NEHALEM – As of May, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department has awarded and named Oregon Beach Rides the official concessionaire of Horseback Riding Rentals at Nehalem Bay State Park.

Owned and operated by Judy Winters and her son, Mike Hughes, the business offers visitors to Nehalem Bay State Park one- and two-hour horseback rides, and other various horse adventure rides for ages 6 and older. Oregon Beach Rides provides horses of all skill levels and guidance and instruction throughout the ride. Coming soon will be wagon rides to ride down the Manzanita area beach.

The horse rentals and stables are located the Nehalem Bay State Park Day Use Area. Year-round, the hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rides in Pacific City are offered by appointment.
