Clatsop Economic Development Resources, Seaside Chamber of Commerce and Astoria-Warrenton Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring another free Business 101 seminar, “Social Media for Your Business” Tuesday, June 15, at the Seaside Public Library from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The program is designed for business owners and their management staff only.

The first 25 people to register will be able to bring laptops to work through the class online. Other registrants will follow a power point presentation. The laptop limit is a result of the maximum band width available at the site.

The seminar will be presented by Gary Hayes, publisher of Coast Explorer Magazine and president and owner of Pelican Productions. Attendees will learn an introduction to social media and methods and applications to benefit their business.

“With the emerging importance of social media, we are pleased to be able to offer this program to benefit our area businesses. We are fortunate to have Gary Hayes, a knowledgeable and experienced presenter available to us,” said Alan Smiles, executive director of the Seaside Chamber of Commerce.
