After more than 12 years of practice in Astoria, opthalmologist Dr. Daniel S. Glantz and neurologist Dr. Edie Y. Glantz of Opthalmology and Neurology Associates P.C., located at 2055 Exchange St., Suite 230, have decided to move out of the area to be closer to family. Oregon Health and Science University’s Casey Eye Institute is acquiring the opthalmology portion of the practice, effective June 15.
Eye care services will continue to be provided by Casey Eye Institute opthalmologists at the current location in Astoria, including clinical examinations and treatments, surgical procedures, a continued affiliation with Columbia Memorial Hospital and on-site optical services. Current office staff is expected to remain and offer continuity with the community, providers and patients. The practice phone and fax numbers will remain unchanged.
The neurology practice will close.
OHSU has agreed to maintain records for both the opthalmology and neurology patients. Records will be available with a written request, and records may be transferred to another physician or clinic if desired.
Drs. Daniel and Edie Glantz will see established patients for follow-up visits until June 7. Casey Eye Institute will begin seeing patients June 15. A full-time opthalmologist has been hired to serve the community and Southwest Washington beginning in August.
