Teevin & Fischer opens new quarry

Teevin & Fischer Quarry, which sells gravel and other rock products in Seaside, has leased another quarry in Columbia County, where they have been doing business since early March.

“We are a rock material supply company,” said office manager Sarah Finn. “We produce rock material and haul it for anybody that needs it.”

Finn said homeowners and construction contractors are the company’s main customers. The firm offers retail and wholesale gravel crushed to different specifications, along with decorative rock products.

Most of the gravel is made from crushed basalt.

Finn said the new location opens up a whole new customer base for the company.

“We’re really excited about it,” she said. “There’s not a whole lot for rock supply out that way.”
