TLC Federal Credit Union building rising in Seaside

Construction is progressing on TLC Federal Credit Union’s new building in Seaside that will house TLC’s branch office, as well as additional space for lease. The building, located at 2315 N. Roosevelt Drive, will include 4,578 sq. ft. of space for TLC’s new branch office and an additional 3,394 sq. ft. of space for lease, said Cate Mayer, TLC’s vice president of information technology. Construction, which began in December, is expected to be completed by late summer or early fall. TLC currently leases space on S. Roosevelt Drive for its Seaside branch.

The new building will provide more than double the space of the present branch, Mayer said. The new branch will include a larger lobby, a modern tellers’ row and a waiting area, as well as a conference room, four private offices where staff can meet with credit union members and a separate office for the branch supervisor. Other amenities will include a tech center, where members can access account information online.The new facility also will have two drive-up teller windows and a drive-up ATM.

The Seaside project is the latest in TLC’s modernization program for its branch offices. In October 2009, construction was completed on TLC’s headquarters/branch office in Tillamook. The credit union also has new branch facilities in Lincoln City and Newport and recently remodeled its branch office in Astoria.

S&S Construction of Bend is the contractor for the Seaside project.
