Weddings: Agalzoff-Rarick

Katie Agalzoff of Beaverton, daughter of Mike and Lori Agalzoff of Astoria, exchanged wedding vows with Nathan Rarick of Beaverton Saturday, July 18, 2009, at the Eola Hills Winery in Rickreall. The groom is the son of Tim and Pam Rarick of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Ben Bauman performed the ceremony.

The bride wore a Maggie Sottero strapless gown with a beaded bodice and princess style skirt with train. Christine Coffman, the bride’s godmother and aunt, made the garter using lace from her mother’s wedding dress for “something old.” The groom’s mother played the violin at the ceremony.

Maid of honor was Wendi Agalzoff of Astoria. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Lewis of League City, Texas, Marisa Brotman of Portland, Heidi Pearn of Forest Grove and Leslie Gomez of Salem.

Best man was Ben Rarick of Olympia, Wash. Groomsmen were Martin Lott of Portland, Jim Goodwin of Seattle, Felix Crepaz of The Netherlands and Jon Moyles of Spokane, Wash.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Astoria High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Willamette University and a master’s degree in teaching from the University of Portland. She is a teacher at Stoller Middle School.

The groom graduated from Lake City High School in 1999. He received a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and a master’s degree from the University of Portland. He is a financial analyst at Knowledge Learning.

A reception was held at Eola Hills Winery. The bride’s father sang his toast to the bride a cappella.

Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii were the honeymoon destinations.

The couple lives in Beaverton.
