Weddings: Oja-Arnes

Kaitlin Brooke Oja of Astoria, daughter of Alan and Carla Oja, also of Astoria, exchanged wedding vows with Andrew Aaron Arnes of Nibley, Utah, at 11 a.m. Sept. 24, 2009, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints temple in Lake Oswego. The groom is the son of Debbie and Paul Anderson of Nibley.

The bride wore a white chiffon gown with a train and satin beaded sash.
Matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Kristin Vestboe of Corvallis, who made and decorated a six layer cheesecake wedding cake. Bridesmaids were Emily Hill of Astoria and Haley Dodge of Corvallis. Flower girls were the bride’s nieces, Kaisa and Sophie Oja of Yakima, Wash.
Groomsmen were Jade Knowles and Heath Grover of Logan, Utah, and Skylar Crouse of Mesa, Ariz. Ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Anders Vestboe of Corvallis.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Astoria High School and attends Oregon State University.
The groom graduated from Mountain Crest High School and attends Utah State University.
A reception was held at The Loft at the Red Building in Astoria.
The honeymoon took place on a Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, cruise.
The couple lives in Corvallis.
