Amazon Kindle DX

Kindle DX is just like the Kindle 2 ? only larger. The DX features a 9.7-inch E Ink® display, and it?s also the first Kindle model with an accelerometer, which automatically rotates pages between landscape and portrait orientations if the device is turned on it side. With 4 GB of storage, the DX can hold approximately 3,500 books. The new model also adds native PDF support and has built-in stereo speakers.

Sony Reader Daily Edition

Arriving in December, the Reader Daily is Sony?s answer to the Kindle DX. Running on AT&T?s 3G network, the Reader Daily features a 7-inch E Ink® touchscreen display that works in both portrait and landscape modes. Its 16-grayscale screen is encased in an aluminum body with integrated cover. The Reader Daily has enough built-in memory to store 1,000 books, plus expansion slot for memory cards for even more storage capacity.

The DR 800SG not only marks iRex Technologies? first foray into the North American e-reader market, it?s Verizon Wireless? first presence in the arena, as the iRex reader runs on Verizon?s 3G network.
