Students ages 14 to 21 who are interested in finding out about the Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps are invited to bring their parents to an information meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Astoria High School music room, 1001 W. Marine Drive.

Participants play brass or percussion instruments or dance with flags, rifles and sabres. Woodwind players are welcome to learn a brass or percussion instrument and will be provided instruction. Previous marching experience is not required.

The Oregon Crusaders hold a practice camp one weekend a month in the Portland or Salem areas, and spend approximately two months on tour during the summer, performing across the country on their way to the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. Fundraisers are available to help participants offset their tuition fees.
