Christopher John Osburn, 27, of Seaside, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, in Willits, Calif., of injuries caused by a hit and run driver.

He was born Jan. 16, 1982, in Portland. His mother, Kate Osburn, survives, residing in Seaside.

Mr. Osburn was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Seaside.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by four uncles, John Burr, Blake Anthony and David Gorham Osburn, all of Gearhart, and James Austin Osburn of Seaside; and numerous aunts and cousins.

A memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 10 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 120 Ocean Way in Seaside.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local food bank.
