Weddings: Leinassar – Vetere

Tiffany Leinassar of Lake Oswego, daughter of Jeff and Cathy Leinassar of Surf Pines, exchanged wedding vows with Adam Vetere, also of Lake Oswego, Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Astoria. The groom is the son of Joseph and Jana Vetere of Woodstock, Ill.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. The Rev. Nicholas Nilema performed the ceremony.

The bride wore an ivory strapless gown with a trumpet silhouette by Amy Kuschel. Approximately 200 people attended the wedding. The wedding weekend began on Thursday with a beach bonfire in Gearhart, and included a golf tournament and send-off brunch at the Astoria Golf and Country Club. The groom won the tournament long drive contest.

Maid of honor was Meghan Leinassar of Surf Pines. Bridesmaids were Christina McMorrow, Leah Clyman and Caroline Searle of San Francisco, Jessica Canada of Los Angeles and Cari Vetere of DeKalb, Ill. Flower girl was Claire Lacey of San Francisco.

Best man was Doug Wilson of Wilsonville, Wash. Groomsmen were Brian Hall of Riverside, Calif., Craig Kastning of Lake in the Hills, Ill., Adam Kruis of Elgin, Ill., Jonathan Powell of Woodstock, Ill., and Matt Wormley of Chicago. Ring bearer was William Lacey of San Francisco. Usher was Philip Fulton of East Lansing, Mich.

The bride graduated from Seaside High School in 1998 and Santa Clara University in 2002. She is a public relations manager for Waggener Edstrom Worldwide in Lake Oswego.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Woodstock High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of San Diego. After years working in finance at companies, including Franklin Templeton and Harmony Capital, he recently enrolled at Portland State University to pursue a master’s degree in financial analysis.

A reception was held at the Leinassar residence. The choreographed father-daughter dance was to a Rolling Stones cover of “Just My Imagination” and included a Keith Richards style air-guitar session. The couple danced to “Nothing Can Change This Love.”

The honeymoon destination was Hawaii.

The couple recently relocated from San Francisco to Lake Oswego.
