SEASIDE – In an effort to increase recycling opportunities, Western Oregon Waste has announced the new summer hours for the Seaside Recycling Depot, located at Avenue S and Alder Mill Road. Effective immediately, the depot will be open an additional two hours, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., April 1 through Oct. 31. The winter hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., effective Nov. 1 through Mar 31, remain the same. The depot is open Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sundays, during both seasons.

Materials accepted at the depot are: newspapers/magazines, glass bottles/jars, cardboard boxes, plastic bottles/tubs/buckets, paper (junk mail, office paper, paper bags, phone books, cereal boxes, egg cartons, drink boxes and milk cartons) and metal (foil, tin and aluminum cans, and small scrap metal, as long as it fits into container openings. Trash is not accepted at this facility.
