Craig Hoppes, superintendent of the Astoria School District, has announced that the Astoria School District Board of Directors has scheduled a special meeting for a community discussion on alternative education from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the John Jacob Astor Elementary School Library.

The meeting is to review the alternative education model, discuss the use of Gray Elementary School as the alternative education facility site and consider questions and comments.

The regularly scheduled Astoria School District Board study session will take place directly after the special meeting.
