WARRENTON – Two Warrenton teenagers received minor injuries in a rollover accident at 12:35 p.m. Monday on Alternate Highway 101. According to Warrenton Police Chief Matt Workman, a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Kimberly Heater, 16, flipped onto its top near the entrance to Ocean Crest Chevrolet.

Workman said Heater told him the accident happened when she was exiting U.S. Highway 101 onto Alternate Highway 101 and had to swerve to avoid a collision with a vehicle she described as possibly a silver Honda Element. Medix Ambulance Service took Heater and her passenger, Amanda Stamschror, 15, to Columbia Memorial Hospital, where they were treated and released.

Seven Warrenton firefighters and two Warrenton police officers responded to the crash, and a Clatsop County Sheriff’s deputy helped direct traffic. Workman said police are attempting to locate the second vehicle. No citations have been issued.
