Sandcastle Day

The Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce sponsors the 44th annual Sandcastle Day June 13. Be prepared to view sea monsters emerging from the deep, glorious castles and imaginative creatures as builders from around the country converge on the beach to prove their skills. From the elementary to the professional, all enjoy this event, whether sculpting or viewing.

Only natural materials, such as seaweed, sticks, shells or rocks may be used for ornamentation. Contestants are organized into divisions by age, individual or team, and type of building implements used.

Stormy Weather Arts Festival

November 6 – November 8, 2009

Each November a bit of magic happens in Cannon Beach. The town transforms into a festival of creativity filled with live music and art. This long-standing community celebration is the perfect way to usher in the coming winter. This year?s event is Nov. 6 to 8.

The Stormy Weather Arts Festival offers a deluge of artistic and musical talent. There will be live music in shops, galleries and restaurants all over town. The many events include the ?Quick Draw and Auction,? musical concerts and demonstrations by local artists.
