Truck rolls over at Oregon Highway 103 and U.S. Highway 26

Volunteer firefighters from Elsie-Vinemaple Fire Department look over the aftermath of an accident on U.S. Highway 26 Monday morning. A moving van rolled over at 10 a.m. at the junction with Oregon Highway 103, pinning the driver, Donald E. Roy, 49, of Portland, inside. He was able to get out on his own and was transported by Medix Ambulance Service to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, where he was treated and released. Clatsop County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Armstrong said the accident remains under investigation. Personnel from Oregon State Police and Oregon Department of Transportation also responded.
