Weddings: Johnson – Gaffney

Ashley Johnson of Warrenton, daughter of Billy and Annette Johnson of Warrenton, exchanged wedding vows with Philip Gaffney of Astoria Jan. 3, 2009, at Philadelphia Church in Hammond. The groom is the son of Dan and Mary Gaffney of Astoria.

The ceremony was performed by Ray Bergerson. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Stacey Bruney of Northport, Ala. Bridesmaids were Sara Neahring and Whitney Johnson of Warrenton and Jenny Forney of Knappa. Flower girls were Shelby Bruney of Northport and Emma Smith of Warrenton.

Best man was Brandon Johnson of Knappa. Groomsmen were John Gaffney of Beaverton, Patrick Gaffney of Astoria and Kyle Johnson of Honolulu. Ring bearer was Ben Bergerson of Warrenton.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Warrenton High School. She is an administrative assistant at Bergerson Cedar Windows in Hammond.

The groom graduated from Astoria High School in 2005. He is employed by Big River Construction in Astoria.

A reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Astoria.

The couple became engaged in Kauai, Hawaii; they honeymooned on the Oregon Coast.

The couple lives in Knappa.
