Kelso residents Eric and Rebecca Smith, owners of Pet Works in Longview, Wash., have purchased the Astoria business Riverside Pet Supply, 240 14th St., from Astoria resident Linda Riness.

The new owners took over last month and are not planning any major changes to the business in downtown Astoria.

“We’ve had a really positive response,” said Eric Smith. “People find out we took over down there, and they’re really pleased.”
