Obituaries: Michael C. Young

Michael C. Young, 48, of Bremerton, Wash., formerly of Seaside and Warrenton, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, in Bremerton.

He was born Nov. 27, 1957, in Lake Tahoe, Calif., to Audra Earl Young and Leslie A. Young Ovesen. His mother survives, residing in Sequim, Wash. His father and stepfather, Carl Ovesen, preceded him in death.

He married Jessica Heine. She survives, residing in Bremerton.

Mr. Young resided in Clatsop County for five years.

Family members said he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Laurie and Jim Willey of Warrenton; a son, John Young of Lake Tahoe; a daughter, Debbie Young of Portland; an uncle and aunt, Roger and Roberta Peeples of Woodland, Calif.; a nephew, David Olson and his wife, Virginia, of Warrenton; a niece, Jennifer Shupe and her husband, Jeremy, of Hooper, Utah; and many great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Young.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a funeral at 11 a.m., at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 5303 Kitsap Way in Bremerton.
