The Tillamook Community Chorus sings American songs of love and romance

Monday Musical Club of Tillamook’s November program is “American Songs of Love & Romance” and features the Tillamook Community Chorus directed by Dr. Denise Reed-Hinds.

Familiar favorites by Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin are interspersed with contemporary numbers like “Seasons of Love” from the Broadway musical “Rent.”

The one-hour program starts at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at St. John’s United Church of Christ on the corner of Laurel and Sixth streets in Tillamook. Admission is free. Refreshments follow the program.

Singers welcome

If you love to sing, and can hold a pitch, we’d love to have you join our group, said Denise Reed-Hinds. No auditions are necessary. The Tillamook Community Chorus is a college course through Tillamook Bay Community College.
