New chapter begins

SEASIDE – The public is invited to the official opening of the new Seaside Library at 1131 Broadway Saturday.
Hosted by Mayor Don Larson, a ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. with remarks by the Oregon State Librarian Jim Scheppke, state Rep. Debbie Boone, Seaside Library Board Chairwoman Jan Clawson, Friends of the Library President Mary Peterson and Washington writer Jo Dereske. Events continue Sunday.
? Because of incorrect information supplied, donations listed in The Daily Astorian’s library tabloid, inserted in Wednesday’s editions, contained an error. A gift of $500 has been given by the Seaside Chamber Ambassadors.
CPR class plannedThe American Red Cross is offering an infant/child cardio-pulmonary resuscitation class from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Clatsop Service Center, located at 1054 Exchange St. The cost is $25.
