Advice on grants is available at Tillamook County meetings

TILLAMOOK – Two Oregon foundations, Meyer Memorial Trust and Spirit Mountain Community Fund, have announced a series of community meetings in Tillamook County in September to provide advice about seeking their grants and to collect information about the needs of nonprofits in Oregon communities.

The first meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Nehalem United Methodist Church, 36050 10th St., in Nehalem. For information, contact Lane DeMoll at (503) 368-6294.

The next meeting will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Stan Sheldon Board Room at the Tillamook County Emergency Communication 911 Center, located at Third Street and Nestucca Avenue in Tillamook. For information, call Marlene Putman at (503) 842-1812.

From 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, a meeting will be held at the Oregon Department of Forestry, 5005 Third St. in Tillamook. For information, contact Dia Norris at (503) 812-0968.

Meyer Memorial Trust, which is not connected with Fred Meyer Inc., will be represented by program officers Sally Yee and Candy Solovjovs and Spirit Mountain Community Fund will send Director Shelley Hanson and Program Officer Louis King.
