CANNON BEACH – The Cannon Beach Historical Society has a new name and logo. The new name is the Cannon Beach History Center and Museum.

When the CBHCM Board of Directors decided the museum’s logo needed an update, the board held a contest in June and collected entries from seven logo designers. All entries were to incorporate a cannon.

A committee of board members made the selection July 1, and chose as the winner a logo by Oregon designer Darryl Brown that features a cannon and Haystack Rock.
